THE Gallery is an institution in the rural region of Bamberg. Two hours and thirty minutes by train from Berlin, there is a water mill in the Itz Valley that now produces green electricity for around 100 households. Thomas Eller, the owner of the mill, was a curator and cultural mediator. Most recently, he lived for six years in Beijing, where he founded Gallery Weekend Beijing, which successfully attracted an international art audience to the city. He then spent three years as the founding director of the China Arts & Sciences Project in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province.

  • # art and the industrial complex

    -

K.R.H. Sonderborg and Michelle-Marie Letelier – what is the connection between two artists from different generations, gender and geography? What warrants the idea to actually present their works together? – Especially at a time which seems to keep apart people from one another that don´t share the same cultural and biographical backgrounds. Between Letelier and Sonderborg, just about everything seems to be different, were it not for both artists´ profound fascination with art and the industrial complex.

  • Die Wege des Wassers – 水之道

    -

  • Where Power Lies – 31 Portraits

    -
