Oron (6, 7 and 8)

The series „Oron“ (6, 7 and 8), 2023 comprises Buddhist and shamanic elements and aesthetics, as often
prevalent in MONGOL Zurag, the modern art tradition in Mongolia, started in the 1920s by the famous
artist Marzan Sharav .
The Oron-series, with its use of gas masks highlights both, the deep committment to Mongolia´s cultural
heritage and the ecological crisis. Ulaanbaatar has the worst air quality of all cities in the world.
In a weird twist the three „hobby horses“ are becoming the apocalyptic horsemen of the climate crisis.
